For the first time in its history all the Grammy nominees for Best Rock Performance are women, which has been a cause for celebration, but some fans are angry about notable snubs including Fiona Apple's album "Fetch the Bolt Cutters" not being nominated for Album of the Year.
But the absence of Fiona Apple's "Fetch the Bolt Cutters" from the nominee list for Album of the Year did not go down well with some. Especially as the album has garnered the singer more Grammy nominations than she's received since 1998 - when she launched her debut album "Tidal".
Some couldn't believe that Coldplay got a nomination instead for Album of the Year.
Fiona Apple wasn't the only one who was snubbed. Fans were also upset that The Weeknd received zero nominations at the Grammy Awards, despite his album being a big chart success.
For some fans it seems every year the Grammys court controversy for their artist nominations and 2021 is no different.
