This time last year, several stars of hit Netflix series Orange Is The New Black were getting ready to march in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.
However, one year later and the cast are celebrating a more sombre occasion, having wrapped production on the show's final ever episode, following a seven-year run.
Members of the cast and crew took to social media, memorialising the show, which was praised by members of the LGBTIQ+ community for its diverse storytelling, with emotional last-day photographs and messages.
"Orange Is The New Black changed my life and the lives of so many people who worked on and watched our show," wrote Uzo Aduba.
"It gave us the space to just be ourselves."
Taryn Manning added: "That’s a wrap for me. What a neat, exciting, enlightening, sometimes traumatic but fantastic 7 year journey we had on a life changing show."
Then there was Natasha Lyonne, who has recently appeared in Russian Doll, who wrote: "On the last shot, a guttural sound came out of me, like some wounded animal."
The final season of the popular series is expected to land on Netflix later this year.
