In what feels like the most obvious tourism/television cross-promotion in recent history, it's been revealed this week that the cast of Netflix's Queer Eye are shooting an episode of the popular series in the NSW town of Yass.
During the lead-up to this year's Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, Netflix shared that the 'fab five' would be visiting Australia for "very special makeover" in the near future - but didn't share further details.
After the cast - Antoni Porowsi, Tan France, Karomo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness and Bobby Berk - touched down in Canberra on Tuesday morning, speculation around their final destination heated up on social media.
That is, until a large billboard on the Barton Highway appeared to let the cat out of the bag.
The billboard, which features all five cast-members, reads: "Thanks for visiting Yass!"
It also promotes the return of Queer Eye to Netflix on June 14th.
Grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness shared a selfie with a local police officer on Instagram, writing: "I stan a lady police officer & a country with sensible gun control!"
He also shared a video of he and his fellow cast-members attempting an Australian accent.
For those not in the know, Oxygen's Scout Durwood describes the slang term 'Yass' as: "a more emphatic 'yes' often paired with 'queen.' The more A's in a yaaaaas, the higher the grade of excitement."
