Pop superstar Britney Spears is heading to Broadway - at least, her iconic discography is.
With a fairy tale twist, Once Upon A One More Time is a musical inspired by the musician's past hits including 'Toxic', 'Oops (I did it again)' and 'Hit me baby one more time'.
“I’m so excited to have a musical with my songs - especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore,” Spears told the Guardian.
She added: “This is a dream come true for me!”
According to Spears’ website, the production will be “set to the songs of Britney Spears" and be an "uproarious, irreverent look at the towering challenges, charms, and choices involved in finding that most elusive of endings: Happily Ever After.”
The show will open in Chicago later this year, before heading to New York City's Broadway.
