A conservative activist, author and opinion writer has gone on the record to state that oral sex is the "practice of homosexuals" - and people are trying not to laugh.
Noted for anti-LGBTIQ+ views, Linda Harvey, who founded the Miss America competition, made the comments while arguing against sex education in public schools.
“Let’s not forget the deadly contribution of ‘LGBTQ’ advocates who demand ‘inclusive’ sex ed — i.e., lessons that outline in detail how kids can engage in anal and oral sex, the sex practices of homosexuals,” she wrote for BarbWire.
She continued, arguing that sex education encourages masturbation.
“These lessons often encourage masturbation and pornography use," she wrote.
"The 'gay' community explodes over any attempt to restrict homosexual access to youth.
"But the evidence is everywhere that their influence is despicable.”
While some LGBTIQ+ people online expressed their condolences for Harvey and her husband, others ridiculed the clearly misguided statement.
