Actress and writer Jennifer Saunders has admitted that she's tempted to revive much-loved comedy series Absolutely Fabulous, saying that she would need to make it "age-appropriate".

The Ab Fab  star made the comments while in conversation with comedy producer John Plowman at an event for the Cheltenham Literature Festival.

"I am thinking at the moment of writing a little something," Saunders said when asked about the BBC show, according to The Guardian.
"It has to be age-appropriate otherwise we’d have to be in wheelchairs basically."

She added: "I think Julia [Sawalha, who plays Saffy] is old enough to be my mother now."

First airing in 1992, the comedy screened for five seasons, before being revisited for a feature film in 2016.

Saunders, who plays Edina Monsoon on the show, said that the characters are "always on my mind. Always."

Bring it on sweetie darling!
