Author André Aciman has taken to social media to reveal the cover to Find Me, a follow-up to his 2007 novel Call Me By Your Name.

The sequel comes after the critically acclaimed 2017 CMBYN film adaptation, which introduced new audiences to the touching love story with the help of actors Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet, each of whom has expressed both excitement and hesitation over a possible follow-up film.

Find Me promises to build on the relationship shared between Elio and Oliver, following Elio’s now-divorced father, Samuel, as he travels from Florence to Rome to visit his sonwho is now a respected classical pianist. During his travels, Samuel has a “chance encounter” with a woman who changes his life forever.

Meanwhile, Elio moves to Paris where he has a “consequential affair” and Oliver, now a professor in New England, considers returning to Europe.

Speaking about the book's cover, Aciman told Entertainment Weekly: “The colours of the buildings couldn’t have been more intensely Roman or captured the sensual Rome I’ve known and loved so much: ochre, faded orange, and, in the background, a serene blue sky.”

He added: “Find Me does not take place in Rome alone. An entire segment takes place in a rainy Paris by night while another is set in New York City late on a protracted Indian summer.”

The book comes out in October 2019.
