'Drag queen storytime' at public library is Pride Month's most adorable event

Because reading. Is. Fundamental.

June is Pride month, so all over the US and Canada there's an enormous amount of events happening specifically to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. 

However, this one may be the cutest. Drag queens in Edmonton, Canada, decided to hold a 'story time' for kids at the Edmonton Public Library, calling it 'Rainbow Storytime'.

Four queens with big personalities and even bigger hair read to a crowd of around 150 children and families, choosing stories that they wished they'd heard when they were children.
Lourdes, Chelsea, Go Go Fetch and TJB read books such as It's Okay to be Different by Todd Parr, and The Boy Who Cried Fabulous by Leslea Newman:

TJB told CBC that they hoped to broaden children's horizons, and remind them that they absolutely can be themselves:

"Edmonton's still a very conservative climate and so again, for young impressionable children who may not be fitting into the binary boxes in the world, it's very important for them to have examples of people and places they can grow into that are inclusive."

The queens also sang songs and played games such as 'Find Out Your Drag Queen Name'.
The event was a roaring success, with the local queens receiving extremely positive feedback for their performance (despite allegedly being extremely nervous):
