And the winner is...

Nathan!

The 12-year-old from Brisbane took away the crown of Australia's Child Genius on Wednesday night, delighting fans online.
Nathan's greatest gift to fans was his down-to-Earth approach to the competition.

Nathan and his mother Leanne charmed viewers for their warm and relaxed attitude to the competition, which for Nathan was more about the people than the trophy.

Nathan's mum Leanne entered him into Child Genius in the hope her son could make new friends. Nathan had found connecting with children his own age difficult, because other kids his own age didn't enjoy his hobbies - maths and astronomy.

It wasn't long before Nathan quickly connected to fellow contestant James over their shared love of cubing.
"I think the social experience of this competition is the greatest gift I've had," Nathan told SBS.

"It's incredible. I've love it."

Australia has loved watching you, Nathan!
