'I love boys. I love girls': Vans just released some incredibly bisexual sneakers

With the holiday season now a distant memory, retailers are already turning their eyes firmly towards next month's Valentine's Day.

While this normally means love hearts, chocolate, roses and teddy bears, skateboarding apparel company Vans has just released three sneakers that give off major queer energy - particularly for those attracted to both men and women.

The new “I Heart” Vans sneakers are available three styles - one pair is a high top, while the other two are low - and include the a pattern of the text “I [heart] Boys” and “I [heart] Girls.” Meanwhile, the third pair says 'Boys' on the heel of one shoe and 'Girls' on the heel of the other.

While the shoes certainly seem angled towards members of the LGBTIQ+ community, Nylon notes that “nowhere in the product description, nor press blast is there any mention of queer identities.”
It's not the first time a sportswear brand has embraced queer pride.

During last year's Pride Month, Converse released a collection of shoes which included rainbow-coloured soles, as well as sneakers incorporating colours from the transpride flag (blue, white and pink).

Regardless of your thoughts on Valentine's Day, we reckon Vans' latest offering is pretty cute - and Twitter users agree.

"#vansoldskool IS SELLING #BISEXUAL SHOES FOR VALENTINES DAY!!!!" One person tweeted.

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!"

In reference to how beloved the shoes are in the LGBTIQ+ community, another wrote: "I thought all Vans were bisexual sneakers."
