The daughter of film star Jackie Chan has recently come out as gay, through a series of Instagram posts and hashtags.

Etta Ng, who is 18 years old and lives in Hong Kong, posted an image of herself in front of a rainbow background, adding the hashtags, #LGBTQAI, #LGBT, #Lesbian, and #Androgynous.

Shortly after Etta posted the photo, social media influencer Andi Autumn posted a photo of her and Etta, captioning the photo with confirmation of the pair's relationship, professing her love for Etta, and explaining that they have faced a great deal of discrimination for being a same-sex couple in Hong Kong.

A few days after Etta posted her original image, both she and Andi posted another, both thanking people for their kind words and acceptance.

Etta echoed her partner's earlier sentiments about where they live, saying that while international followers were rooting for the couple, Hong Kong media had "mocked" her for coming out as gay.

At age 15, Etta made a public statement about her estranged father, saying she was "far from forgiving him", and explaining that she regards him as a stranger.

"He is not my dad. I have no feelings for him. He is my biological father but he is not in my life."
