"If you’re trying to talk to me about anything other than 'Love, Simon' for the remainder of 2018 just know I’m not interested."

So, unless you've been living under a gay-culture-shaped rock, you've probably heard something about Love, Simon - the mainstream romantic comedy about a young gay man coming to terms with his sexuality. Basically, it's a coming-of-age film with a queer twist - and audiences have LOTS of feelings.

The perfect film? According to Twitter it's 10s, 10s, 10s across the board!

There have been tears - lots of tears...

... and gay culture has never been quite so broad.

The film is pretty much one big lesson in parenting...

... as well as a timely reminder to practice self-love.

... and set the topic of conversation for the remainder of 2018.

Some felt the film highlighted the need for even more stories...

... but for many, it was simply a much-appreciated chance to start a meaningful conversation and connect with loved ones.

Love, Simon is officially released in cinemas tomorrow.
