A Colorado pastor who has previously waged war on feminism, Harry Potter and the Girl Guides has claimed that government-run schools in the US are producing “transgender communists”.
Orthodox Presbyterian Kevin Swanson hosts an online radio show and began his latest rant by saying, “This might sound a bit hyperbolic, this might sound like a bit of an exaggeration but I don’t think it is.”
He continued: “The state has an agenda with your children. The goals of the educational program for your kids in the public schools…the goals of the world for your children is that your kids be transgendered and communist by 20 years of age.”
Swanson went on to plead: “Parents, just get serious about it. Do you want your kids transgendered and communist at 18 years of age? Is that your goal? If it isn’t, then maybe you ought to bring a different vision into the education of your children.”
Swanson has previously called for gay people to be put to death—most notably at the National Religious Liberties Conference that was attended by Republican Senator Ted Cruz.
Swanson said at the 2016 conference: “Yes, Leviticus calls for the death penalty for homosexuals! Yes, the Apostle Paul does say that homosexuals are worthy of death! His words, not mine, and [screaming] I AM NOT ASHAMED! I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God!”
In one particularly unsettling video, the pastor has also stated that if any of his children invited him to their same-sex wedding he would sit at the entrance to the church and cover himself in cow manure.
