Sir Patrick Stewart is calming the masses, sharing at-home readings of old plays, including William Shakespeare's Sonnet 116.
Footage of Stewart reading out loud in his home soon went viral, with actor Kumail Nanjiani tweeting: "If you had asked me what I needed, I never would have said 'Sir Patrick Stewart looking me in the eyes while performing Shakespeare.'"
He added: "But now that I have it, I realise it’s what I needed."
Clearly chuffed at all the messages of thanks, the acting legend is now turning the sonnet reading into a bit of a daily routine.
"I was delighted by the response to yesterday's posting of Shakespeare's Sonnet 116, and it has led me to undertake what follows," he wrote in a tweet.
"When I was a child in the 1940s, my mother would cut up slices of fruit for me (there wasn't much) and as she put it in front of me she would say, 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away,'" he continued.
"How about, 'A sonnet a day keeps the doctor away'? So...here we go: Sonnet 1."
With everything going on, we like the sound of that.
