10s, 10s, 10s across the board!

The theme for this year's Met Gala was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" which obviously means that Jared Leto is dressed as Jesus Christ himself and Rihanna is slaying the red carpet DEAD in a Pope-inspired number.

According to Vogue, this year's theme aims to examine fashion within “the broader context of religious artistic production”, however for openly queer writer, producer, and actress Lena Waithe, the extravagant evening has offered an opportunity to represent the LGBTIQ+ community on a world stage.

Waithe, who recently appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair and has been open about her fight for greater queer  representation on screen, sent fans and fashion commentators into a tailspin by hitting the red carpet wearing a large rainbow flag as a cape, tailored to her black blazer.

This year Amal Clooney, Rihanna, and Donatella Versace are co-hosting the Met Gala alongside Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour.
