Winner of RuPaul's Drag Race season two Tyra Sanchez has been banned from participating in the annual Drag Convention after threatening violence on fellow alumni of the popular reality TV competition.

Sharing a live video on Instagram, Sanchez threatened queens Tatiana and Phi Phi O'Hara, saying: “But when you see Ms. Phi Phi and Ms. Mother F**king Tati’s ass stretched out on the motherf**king ground, you will know it was me."

She continued: “Yeah, I may not have physically did it, but it will be my doing. Remember that shit, bitch.”

In response, Phi Phi tweeted: “I feel sorry that when someone disagrees they feel it is okay to threaten people with violence, even tweeting about a former alumni. This has gone far beyond simple shade this has gone to a point where alumni have had their lives threatened and something has to stop them."

It ends now, THIS isn't a person who should represent a brand like @RuPaulsDragRace This isn't how any decent human acts. This is someone unstable & needs help. @RuPaulsDragCon she shouldnt be allowed to attend There should be no booth for anyone who threatens hate/ violence! pic.twitter.com/52N5Wd06FL — Jaremi Carey (@PhiPhiOhara) March 25, 2018

She continued, encouraging DragCon to take action: “I truly wish this person the best of help, he is obviously fighting something dark; we all had our moments and I hope they find the appropriate outlet for their anger. @RuPaulsDragCon please do the right thing.”

When contacted by organisers of the event, Sanchez was encouraged to make a public apology in order to retain her DragCon accreditation. However, the queen refused, saying she was the victim of a racially-motivated narrative.

“I will not be apologising again for something that happened last month. I apologised then for my anger, my temper, my behavior and my choice of words," she wrote.

"Multiple times I have stated that violence is not the answer and that queens of my upbringing sometimes express ourselves different than most. I understand you may not understand this as you have only appropriated our lives, our attitudes and our mannerisms."

She continued: "You can continue to push your narrative that I’m some angry black queen, but you and I know that is simply untrue. If you want to remove me from DragCon because of some drag queen drama then by all means remove me.”

Tatiana responded to the news with a series of since-deleted tweets, writing: “Oh she was banned from dragcon? She didn’t have anyone coming there to see her anyways. She is the least respected or liked winner from any of the f*cking seasons and that’s the fucking T.”

There has been heated discussion recently about racism among the program's viewership, with contestant The Vixen bringing it to attention on last week's episode of Untucked.

RuPaul’s DragCon takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center and includes stalls and performances from dozens of popular drag queens, including RuPaul herself.
