Former RuPaul's Drag Race season eight contestant Robbie Turner is not having a great week.
The Seattle-based drag queen took to social media earlier this week to share that she had just woken up after surviving a car crash almost entirely unscathed, alleging that her Uber driver died in the wreck.
"I just woke up. I've been in a car accident," she wrote on Twitter. "I didn't recollect it. I'm not certain what happened. My driver did not survive."
While messages from well-wishes poured in and news of the terrifying brush-with-death was reported via queer media around the world, local publication Seattle Gay Scene reached out to the Seattle Police Department, where a spokesperson said they were not aware of the incident taking place.
In reference to the supposedly fatal crash, the spokesperson said: “I am not aware of anything like that occurring, nor are any of my colleagues aware of this accident.”
A representative from Uber also denied having any record of their drivers being killed.
Amidst the drama, the queen - known as Jeremy Baird out of drag - promoted an upcoming appearance alongside fellow Drag Race alumni Yuhua Hamasaki, stating that "the show must go on".
However, Seattle's Queer/Bar, Turner's main venue of employment, has since released a statement saying the entertainer would be taking personal leave for the foreseeable future.

"Robbie Turner will be taking a personal leave from his role as Queer/Bar’s Entertainment Director and weekly drag show host," the statement read.
"We sincerely hope that this time will be used well to focus on his health and wellness. We will continue to ensure he has access to adequate resources to help him succeed."
While details about what actually occurred remain... sketchy, Drag Race fans (and queen Kim Chi) have certainly made up their minds about what happened...
