In what could only be described as this writer's two worlds colliding, actor Andrew Garfield has opened up about his adoration for RuPaul's Drag Race contestant and emerging queer icon Miss Vanjie.

Garfield, who is currently starring in the revival of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America on Broadway, opened up tp Broadway.com about his love for Drag Race and, in particular, first eliminated queen Miss Vanjie.

“I was so disappointed to see Miss Vanjie go – as everyone was," Garfield said in the on-camera interview.

He added: "And that exit is like one of the iconic moments… I believe… of Drag Race history… What the hell was that?”

Garfield continued: “Were you taken over by a divine entity? It’s hypnotised the culture. She was channeling, there was something…"

"Bruce Springsteen and Miss Vanjie, I feel changed by so far this year," he concluded.

"Maybe Miss Vanjie slightly more profoundly.”
