The picturesque village of Lavertezzo in Switzerland has become a reluctant tourism hot spot after a video which dubbed it "the Maldives of Milan" went viral.
Filmmaker created the minute-long video about the stunning Verzasca river, showing them diving and playing in the crystal clear waters with their friends.
"A magnificent canyon crossed with emerald waters - one hour from Milan and 45 minutes from Varese," Capredi writes in Italian on the Capedit Facebook post of the video, which has been viewed 2.6 million times so far.
Crossed by the 400-year-old Ponte dei Salti double arch stone bridge, the area has long been a popular beauty spot.
But residents of the village are not happy with the flood of Italian tourists who have been visiting Lavertezzo as a result, accusing them of turning their little piece of paradise into "an open air toilet".
"I thought the valley had exploded," one resident told Ticino News.
Another villager accused the tourists of "running semi-naked down the street" and said they "have no respect for anything", while the article makes note of "socks, cigarettes and cans" left behind by visitors.

The mayor of Lavertezzo, Roberto Bacciarini, said the video had done a good job attracting people to the area, but he had some concerns.
"[Mr Capedri] would do us a favour if he asked his compatriots to park their cars in an orderly manner, and respect the rules of the place," he told Italian newspaper Repubblica.
