The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has sent a message to LGBT+ Republicans who promote an anti-gay agenda in public.

The HRC used a location specific Grindr ad in the Alexandria area of Washington, DC—where the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was taking place.

The ad read: "Attention: CPAC attendees, you can't be with us in the hotel room and against us in the CPAC ballroom," referring to conservatives who engage in same-sex relationships yet oppose LGBT+ inclusive policies.

The screenshot first appeared on the Twitter of Raymond Braun and was then shared on Reddit.

During last year's Republican National Convention (RNC), there was a sharp increase in Grindr activity around the Quicken Loans Arena area where the convention was held, according to Broadly. There was also an over-representation of white males.

“When comparing Quicken Loans visitors to the Grindr community at large, the biggest trend is over-representation of white males. White men comprise only 40 percent of the Grindr community, but represent 75 percent of the visitors [at the RNC].”
