The internet is losing it over a high school production of 'Rent' changing AIDS to diabetes

A US writer's tweet is going viral after she shared a story about a high school production of 'Rent' - teachers didn't want to mention AIDS, so the characters had diabetes, instead.

Chelsea Fagan's tweet about a high-school drama production of Rent, but with diabetes instead of AIDS, has received over 30,000 retweets and hundreds of responses.

Instead, they adapted the production, so the characters had diabetes instead.
