Old gays try new slang

A new video has brought attention to the ever-changing queer vocabulary in the most adorable way possible - with an endearing group of self-identified "old gays".

Digital queer magazine Into produced the clip, which includes three older gay men being introduced to a list of everyday words used in queer popular culture today, including "bussy", "extra", "bop" - and phrases such as "yass queen", "beat for the gods", "f**k my drag, right?" and even "Miss Vanjie".
"I think you guys are watching too much Rupaul," one of the men said upon discovering "Vanjie".

"Are we living in a different world? We feel dumb!" Another of the men exclaimed.
However, there were some points of familiarity, with the men each saying they had used the term "slay" in their youth.

"I still use it," one of the men laughed.
