“We wanted to make a game that has the same vibe as the indie movie scene, with an LGBT touch.”

A new video game hopes to bring light to experiences of gender dysphoria, encouraging gamers to explore what happens "when the body and soul don't match".

According to gaming website Alpha Beta Gamer, Pink White or Blue offers "a powerful narrative experience" with elements of horror, in which players walk in the shoes of a transgender person as they "try to cope in a binary world".

Game reviewer KJ Robertson adds that the game "goes to some very dark places, but it’s also full of beauty".
While demo version of Pink White or Blue is available for download online, the game's Swedish creators hope to develop it into a full version.

“This demo started as a Art School project,” they wrote on IndieDB.

They continued: “We wanted to make a game that has the same vibe as the indie movie scene, with an LGBT touch.”
