Actor and singer Titus Burgess is adding 'TV host' to his resume, fronting a truly wild-sounding new cooking show called Dishmantled.

The show will be launched on new short-form streaming platform Quibi.

Burgess, best known for his role on The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, confirmed the news on social media, tweeting: "GET READY! I just joined the @quibi family. It's about to get MESSY!"

According to Deadline, Dishmantled will be “a high-octane cooking competition that will literally blow your socks off.”

The synopsis teases that each episode of the show “starts with the cannon-blasting of a mystery food dish into the faces of two blindfolded chefs."
Contestants will then "use their culinary prowess to identify the exploded dish and then race against the clock to recreate it.

"Whichever chef comes closest to the original dish wins a cash prize.”

The series was first dreamed up by Linda Lea, the mind behind Food Network’s Chopped, and continues a new wave of comedy cooking shows, including Netflix's popular Nailed It!.

It sounds messy - and we can't wait.
