A new video series is aiming to highlight queer voices from the Middle East and North Africa, where members of the LGBTIQ+ community continue to face severe social stigma and criminalisation.

The series was produced by Human Rights Watch in conjunction with the Arab Foundation for Freedoms and Equality and accompanies HRW's latest report titled “Audacity in Adversity: LGBT Activism in the Middle East and North Africa”.
“They are telling their stories, building alliances, networking across borders, developing national and regional movements, and finding creative ways to combat discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity,” writes Human Rights Watch.
The statement continues: “Through the campaign 'No Longer Alone,' they offer messages of support and encouragement to LGBT people living in Arabic-speaking countries in the Middle East and North Africa.”

The series includes numerous on-camera testimonials from members of the LGBTIQ+ community living in the Middle East and North Africa.
