Former Rupaul's Drag Race contestant Laganja Estranja, AKA dancer and choreographer Jay Jackson, has re-entered the world of reality TV, auditioning for the 15th season of So You Think You Can Dance.

The 29-year-old from Dallas, Texas, performed her audition in full drag, including heels, to RuPaul's popular track Cover Girl.

"I like to say that drag chose me, I did not choose drag," she says in her introduction video.

She continues: "When I graduated college I had a really hard time getting a job as a dancer."

"Everyone said I was too feminine. My build was very feminine, I'm very slender... I just didn't fit the mould."

"When I fully embraced that yes, I am a feminine male, I put on drag for the first time ever."

The Drag Race family has come out in support of Estranja's journey on the dancing show, with the likes of Bob The Drag Queen, Bianca Del Rio, Willam and RuPaul herself tweeting their messages of congratulations after she progressed to the second round of auditions.
