Pop singer Billie Eilish has announced that a portion of the proceeds from her clothing range will be donated to LGBTIQ+ organisation The Trevor Project, which works in suicide prevention.

The move comes as Eilish released her new single, 'I wish you were gay' - which details a complicated experience of rejection from her early teens  ahead of the release of her new album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

"[The song] is about wanting to be with someone so bad it hurts, and not wanting to accept that this person doesn’t want you in return," Eilish revealed in a behind-the-scenes video.

"At least if they were gay, I’d have a valid reason for their rejection and lack of interest in being with me," she continued.

"I wrote the song when I was 14 and madly in love with a boy. It’s supposed to be a fun and playful way at dealing with rejection."
