If there has been a theme for 2020, it has been loneliness.

Jessica Kantrowitz, a Boston based writer and theologian, has tried to soften the isolation some people may feel by reaching out online to those on their own on Thanksgiving, with an offer to 'draw' them into a dinner.

"If anyone is alone today and feeling lonely, you are invited to my Thanksgiving dinner. I made lemon & rosemary turkey. Tell me your hair & eye color & what you’re bringing, & I’ll draw you in," Kantrowitz wrote in a viral tweet.
Dozens took on her challenge for the American holiday, writing in their physical features and offering to bring traditional Thanksgiving dishes.
The artist's picture evolves in real time, as she posted new pictures with additional guests and their dishes.
Eventually the picture features a large and happy crowd, gathering over a Thanksgiving meal.
The feelgood factor was big with many even offering to bring in drinks and pets to the party.
