Social media has lit up with well wishes and praise being heaped on students sitting their final HSC exams amidst the stress of a pandemic.
76,000 students across NSW will sit their first exam today after a year of disruption and school closures due to COVID-19.
"2020 was hard, but you got this!" Phil Willis wrote.
"One thing they don’t need to test in the 2020 #HSC is resilience. This year’s #Year12 has it in droves. Best of luck all! You really have got this!" another social media user said.
"Good luck to all the HSC students starting exams today. Thanks to the teachers - for everything. Thanks to all the parents & carers keeping these excellent young people fed, watered & cared for as they see out their school life & this dreadful year," Penny Sharpe wrote.
Others advised students to celebrate getting to the finish line and not let exam results define them.
"To any kids or parents with kids starting exams today. Good luck. It's been a year but you'll be ok. Exam results don't and won't define you," Shae tweeted.
