Aspiring fashion photographers and YouTube vloggers Cooper and Luc Coyle have come out as gay, sharing the moment they told their mother in an emotional video.
"I'm so nervous to start this video," Cooper said at the start of the recording - "but excited, too", added Luc, before admitting to viewers that they're both gay.
"It's not really a secret in our life," the twins continued, adding that everyone at their college knows.
"But at home, our friends and family, we haven't really told them."
"At this point I feel like our mum knows, but we've never addressed it."
The boys then called their mother on loud-speaker and told her the news - and her response couldn't have been more heartwarming.
“I understand you want us to know..." she said. "As long as you’re happy, and you know who you are, that makes daddy and I happy."
She continued: "We’re happy if you’re happy. We just want you to be happy. If this is who you are, then this is who you are. You’re born that way. You’re not different from anybody else. You’re my babies, I love you. Daddy and I are always here for you, to support you, to be whoever you want to be."
“You should never hide who you are," their mum added.
"It’s not really a surprise, but I would never assume anybody to be anybody."
Fans of the YouTubers were quick to congratulate the pair on the big step.
"This makes me so happy," one viewer wrote on their video. "I'm glad your mum was super okay with it!"
"I'm so happy for you, and you are so lucky to have each other," another wrote.
