A Clockwork Orange review

Margaret: Stanley Kubrick's film is the most dazzling, virtuoso performance of a filmmaker. He uses images, music and dialogue to present a daring argument for the free will of Alex the ultra-violent kid against the conditioned model citizen. Malcolm McDowell has proven unforgettable as Alex, what a performance. What a film. R-rated then, and now.

David: It is a very provocative theme, the idea that an evil person... you take away his will, his freedom of choice, and that's more evil than the evil person.
