“Is that Ewan McGregor?” is probably something everyone who's watched the Fargo season three trailer has asked. It’s the hair that does it. There’s no mistaking the Scottish actor’s face, twinkling eyes and cheeky grin as brothers Emmit and Ray Stussey. But, with McGregor sporting loose curls as one and a balding mullet as one as the other, there’s also no mistaking just how different a new set of locks makes him look.
This isn’t the first time the versatile star has mixed things up in the hair department. In fact, his career is filled with everything from close-cropped Edinburgh junkie chic to those Phantom Menace tresses that were memorable in all the wrong ways.
In preparation for his latest follicular foray in Fargo, here’s the list you didn’t know you needed - a guide to the never-ending gift that is Ewan McGregor’s many, many different hairstyles.
The curls! The curls!

Would you like a massive moustache with that? Yes? Good

I have the tallest fringe! No, I have the tallest fringe!

Ewan is the best thing about this film; Ewan’s hair is the second best thing

When Meryl’s in the film, you’d best look serious

No, we don’t know why Ewan is in A Million Ways to Die in the West, but he is

Hey look, it’s dusty Jesus Ewan

Lookin’ smooth

With that hair, of course he’s playing a villain

What’s worse - getting turned into a candlestick or this wig?
