Last year's winner Salvador Sobral has fallen in hot water after making more comments about his music contemporaries. His latest remarks call out this year's Israeli Eurovision contestant and fan favourite Netta's 'Toy'.
“YouTube thought I would like the Israeli song. I opened it and a horrible song came out of it," he told Portuguese paper Publico. "Luckily this year I do not have to hear anything.”

Netta responded, indirectly, to Sobral's comments over Twitter. In her tweet, she referenced the Portuguese singer and alluded to his dismissal of pop musicians.
This isn't the first time Sobral, who won the contest last year for his jazz ballad 'Amar Pelos Dois', has faced backlash for making "arrogant" remarks.
During his winner's speech he famously said, "Music is about feelings, not fireworks."
Fans were displeased then and appear to remain so now.
Last year's Croatian contestant, Jacques Houdek, posted a message on Facebook following Sobral's comments towards Netta.
"So patronising and completely inappropriate, not gentleman-like of you to do this!" he wrote. "You should apologise ASAP!!!"
Houdek, however, faced backlash himself for making homophobic remarks during the song contest in Kyiv last year.
