A must see if you are a fan.

Superbly shot and masterfully edited Demme has captured the sensitive side of Young.

Jonathan \"Silence of the Lambs\" Demme is not just interested in feature films; he is also an award wining director of music videos and live concerts.

Now he brings us one of Americas iconic song writers Neil Young live in Nashville in Heart of Gold. In March 2005 Neil Young was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Four days before his operation he wrote and recorded his latest album Prairie Wind. After recovering from surgery he packed up his family and musician friends and headed to Nashville\'s famed Ryman Auditorium where he performed live in concert the album and a selection of past hits.

He is joined on stage by the likes of Emmylou Harris, the Nashville String Machine, the Memphis Horns, the Fisk University Jubilee Singers to name a few. With mini interviews, anecdotes from his past and mostly concert footage Demme has sculpted a definitive time capsule on one of Americas leading contemporary songwriters. Superbly shot and masterfully edited Demme has captured the sensitive side of this now county-fied performer. Neil is certainly not in the prime of his life and although appears to be having trouble hitting the high notes his voice is still distinct and so is his message.

This is definately not a film for everyone but if your heart has been touched by a Neil Young song you\'re in for an intimate and enchanting experience that will directly place you in a front row seat.
