Local distributor Palace Films is yet to set a release date for Acolytes but the film featured in a list of upcoming local cinema releases at the recent Australian International Movie Convention.
Acolytes screened in the Midnight Madness section of the TIFF program.
Mark Hartley's Not Quite Hollywood had its North American premiere over the weekend and has two other screenings at Toronto this week. The film is still playing in cinemas so catch it if you haven't already, for a fun look at the history of Ozploitation cinema. It has had a disappointing start at the box office but hopefully it will improve as word of mouth spreads.
