P.S. is similar to the recent Nicole Kidman film, Birth in that Linney\'s character believes that F Scott is her ex boyfriend reincarnated, except that this essentially supernatural theme is not fleshed out adequately. It\'s also a stretch to believe that these brand new lovers would have such intense discussions, so soon after meeting. But somehow, none of this matters. Linney\'s performance is expressive and absorbing as Louise realises that her life does not have to be so cloistered. We\'re privy to her emotional journey and it\'s an enjoyable, offbeat romance.
