The Grand Prix of the International Critics’ Week , whose 53rd edition will take place from 15-23 May 2014 as part of the 67th Cannes International Film Festival, will be awarded by a jury led by British director Andrea Arnold.
Arnold follows Lee Chang-dong, Bertrand Bonello and Miguel Gomes in the top chair. She will preside over a jury of film journalists, yet to be named. Interestingly, the filmmaker (Red Road, Fish Tank Wuthering Heights) herself shot to fame at the Cannes International Critics’ Week in 1998 with her short film Milk.
Arnold was previously a member of the 2012 Official Competition jury in 2012, which awarded the Palme d'Or to Michael Haneke for his film Amour.
The selection of the 2014 International Critics’ Week will be unveiled on 21 April.
