Australian time travel comedy The Infinite Man has been selected to screen at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival in March. The Inifinite Man is the feature debut of director Hugh Sullivan. It stars Josh McConville as Dean, a gifted control freak whose attempts to construct the perfect romantic weekend backfire when he traps his lover Lana (Hannah Marshall) in an infinite loop. Alex Dimitriades plays Lana's ex-boyfriend Terry, a disgraced 80s Olympian.

Production of The Infinite Man took place in South Australia in February last year. The film was produced by Danger 5 producer Kate Croser, along with Sandy Cameron. It will screen in Texas in the 'Visions' section of SXSW, which programs riskier, innovative narrative films.

“We are thrilled to premiere The Infinite Man at the SXSW Film Festival, given its reputation as one of the best launching pads for indie films like ours. Recent SXSW premieres include Lena Dunham's Tiny Furniture, Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers and Duncan Jones' Source Code and we couldn't be happier to be in that company”, said Croser, in a statement. The Infinite Man will be released locally later in the year. SXSW takes place in Austin, Texas from March 7-15.
