Australia’s first entry into the Eurovision Song contest comes from one of our countries most successful recording artists of recent years and former X Factor Australia mentor Guy Sebastian. 'Tonight Again' is an entry Australia should be proud of and makes good use of Guy’s signature brass driven jams. Guy got a massive positive reception in the Wiener Stadthalle and our moment on stage has heralded a new era for the contest. Upbeat and almost annoyingly catchy 'Tonight Again' stands out as a genuine contender when compared to the considerable volume of ballads that will feature across Eurovision week.

  1. I am Portuguese, English, Scottish and Sri Lankan.
  2. I love photography.

Do you have a (lucky) routine before you go on stage?

I get pumped up watching the fight scene from Rocky 4. I have to be alone so I can focus. I always do a huddle with the band and we remind ourselves how lucky we are to be performing music.

Why is the Eurovision Song Contest important for you?

It is a tradition that has lasted 60 years and I feel deeply connected to Europe as I love spending time there. I love all the different cultures, cuisines, landscapes, and music found throughout Europe and how diverse it is. I love how the Eurovision Song Contest showcases that diversity and that you never know what you are going to get.
