Australia's Eurovision spokesperson revealed

Every year, Europe comes together - to judge each other. But now it's our turn to pick one person to be judgmental on our behalf.

Excitement grips the nation as Australia enters the Eurovision song content. But who will be our voice? The voting spokesperson who will proclaim Australia's judgement across the globe?

... honestly, did you think anyone else was up to the task?

She's wowed Australia on the Logies red carpet and made headlines after her public brawl with the nation’s most reputable news anchors. Now Lee Lin Chin goes global as Australia’s official Eurovision spokesperson.

Who hasn't heard about the famous douze points? The Eurovision Song Contest voting procedure is legendary, but even more legendary is the coveted role of the official spokesperson – a role that will see Lee Lin Chin deliver the scores on behalf of Australia, announcing the final three countries that will receive Australia’s – 8, 10 and 12 points.

When asked how she feels about presenting so early given the time difference, Lee Lin Chin responded: “I’m not worried about being up early, I’ll just have to take a break from the clubs for 20 minutes.”

Expecting an influx of interview requests from Australian and international media (for which the answer will always be no, given her new commitment to campaigning for the 2016 Gold Logie), Lee Lin prepared the following statement:

“Since I’m announcing my candidacy for the 2016 Gold Logie, I’m very excited. 195 million people watch Eurovision every year and if even just 10 million of those buy TV Week I’ll have it in the bag. As SBS’s most recognisable personality I couldn’t say no to such an opportunity. I’m the obvious choice - not only have I been to Europe but I also listen to music from time to time.”

Eurovision 2015 will be a celebration of music and culture, marking the first time in Eurovision history Australia has been invited to compete in the contest with wild card entrant Guy Sebastian to perform in celebration of 60 years of Eurovision. It also marks the first time that Lee Lin Chin has dominated the international airwaves – but it certainly won’t be the last.

What will Lee Lin wear? Which famous backdrop will she be presenting from, and will she win the 2016 Gold Logie? #SBSEurovision
