Based on the 1978 novel of the same name and starring Emily Mortimer and Bill Nighy, The Bookshop is the ultimate comfort viewing, much like the feeling of getting lost in a good book, so it's no surprise it's made the list again this year. Set in a small English town in 1959, it's the story of a woman who decides, against polite but ruthless local opposition, to open a bookshop, a decision which becomes a political minefield.
