Not sure what China did to deserve a remake of 'Blended'.

With China’s box-office revenue hitting USD$1.05 billion in February and officially surpassing North America’s sales, it’s no surprise that distributors are looking at the growing film market in China.

Warner Bros. is teaming up with China Media Capital and TVB, a Hong Kong broadcast network, to create Flagship Entertainment, which announced 12 new projects in a press conference last week.

The projects will be a mix of original films and remakes of American titles, including the 2000 Sandra Bullock hit Miss Congeniality.

Also in line to be remade is the 2014 Adam Sandler / Drew Barrymore film Blended, the critically panned single parent rom-com. No, not The Wedding Singer,  no, not 50 First Dates, and no, we’re not sure what China did to deserve that, either.

Original projects from Flagship Entertainment will include, Chinese Wall Street, which is not a remake of Wall Street with Michael Douglas, a rom-com called When Larry Met Mary, which is not a remake of When Harry Met Sally, as well as a disaster film entitled MEG, and a period crime drama called Murder Of the Husband.
