Veteran actor Sir Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93 after being hospitalised for respiratory problems and heart failure.
The actor, who was knighted in 2009, appeared in more than 250 films and TV shows throughout his career. He is best known for his iconic title role in Hammer Horror's Dracula, and The Wicker Man. He also played Saruman in the Lord of the Rings trilogy (below).
In recent years, Le was a regular collaborator with Tim Burton, and he had roles in Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

According to sources, Lee passed away on Sunday morning and the family waited until all relatives had been informed before making the announcement.
