Connolly's story of Paper Planes takes flight

Production underway on director's new international family film.

Production is underway on writer/director Robert connolly's new film, Paper Planes.

The 3D film charts the true story of an 11-year-old West Australian boy's quest to compete in the paper plane world championships. It will shoot on location in Perth and Tokyo, and star Sam Worthington, Anthony LaPaglia and Ed Oxenbould as the aspiring champion.

Connolly penned Paper Planes with author Steve Worland, and is producing it with Liz Kearney and Maggie Miles through his company, Arenamedia. Executive Producers are Eric Bana, Gary Hamilton, Ying Ye, Jonathan Chissick, Andrew Myer and Bernadette O'Mahony.
