To celebrate the weird and wonderful Eurovision Song Contest, we present weird and wonderful film facts about this year's finalist countries.

You could be forgiven for thinking that there is so much reality television being manufactured these days that we're about to hit the point where everyone will have a camera crew following them around. But two decades ago a Belgian film proved to be the black comedy that diagnosed and satirised our penchant for legitimising the odd and unworthy by recording and editing their daily endeavours. Made by Remy Belvaux, Andre Bonzel and Benoit Poelvoorde – a trio of film school graduates – Man Bites Dog depicts a film crew politely following around a serial killer. Ben (Poelvoorde) is a murderous boor who proudly explains his methods for his followers while taking them along to various murders and sundry other crimes. The film is deadpan and hilarious, with the crew never questioning Ben and instead starting to join in. Man Bites Dog has a crazy mind, but it never blinks.
