Garfield lives a perrrrfect life in the suburbs with his owner John Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer) until the appearance of new addition to the family, a dog named Odie. He now suffers all the pangs of jealousy until the day Odie is kidnapped by a mean dog trainer for TV. It is now up to Garfield to rescue him.
