Personally selected by Creel Price to be part of The Employables after he travelled back to his rural roots in Cowra, Jess, 27, falls into one of the highest unemployment demographics in Australia - young and from a rural area. Living in Parkes in regional New South Wales, Jess has tried for 3 years to find a job that matches her university degree yet she still finds herself unemployed.

“I’m surviving at the moment with Centrelink,” she says. “It’s not what I wanted obviously, but its reality. I want to work. I’ve lost count of the amount of jobs I’ve gone for lately, well not lately, the last few years.”

Jess would like to start an online community for the nail polish obsessed around Australia.

Where is she now?

Since making it through to the final 12 and attending boot camp, Jess has secured full-time employment.

She continues to work on her business idea, Nail Polish Network — an online community where people can find out everything that they want to know about nail polish. Jess has set her sights on a goal to sell nail polish from existing businesses, boutiques and individuals through Nail Polish Network.
