Kieran Darcy-Smith to direct Iraq drama Blackwater: report

According to a report on Deadline, Australian writer director Kieran Darcy-Smith has signed on to direct Blackwater, a film inspired by the controversialprivate military company hired by the Unites States Government during the Iraq war.

Darcy-Smith (Wish You Were Here) is part of Blue Tongue Films, the inner city Sydney production outfit that produces the work of David Michod, Joel Edgerton, Nash Edgerton, Luke Doolan, and Spencer Susser.
