Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Review

Lara Croft is a Lady, she`s rich, she lives in a country mansion in England with a butler and a computer boffin Bryce - Noah Taylor, she`s very well-spoken, she`s amazingly athletic and extremely handy with her two hip-swaggering sharp- hooters. Her father - played by Jolie`s real-life father Jon Voigt - is an English lord who`s been missing, presumed dead since 1985. The imminent alignment of the nine planets which only happens every 5000 years will enable the possessor two separate and hidden halves of a triangle to gain the power over time and Lara`s father has left her the key.. but there are competing forces at work.....I don`t know what`s wrong with me, but I quite enjoyed Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. It`s the usual Hollywood junk-food but Angelina Jolie is very pleasant to watch in action, it`s so great to see Noah Taylor in a big Hollywood action movie - what a piece of casting that was. There are obvious special effects all over the place, but there`s something about adventures based on cabalistic mysteries that appeals to me. I don`t think this is a great film or even a good film, Simon West was the director - he made Con Air and The General`s Daughter,,/i> but it is what is it is. No pretences. Popcorn. Pure popcorn...
