The madness of the Eurovision song contest is not restricted to the shenanigans on stage as our intrepid Eurovision virgin Toby Truslove discovered as he takes us on a behind-the-scenes tour of the basically bonkers press centre.

It may be his first attendance at a live Eurovision Song Contest but intrepid Toby Trsulove has jumped straight in to the chaos that is a Eurovision Press Centre.

Housed next to the Globen Arena, where the contest itself is staged, the Press Centre is home to hundreds of journalists from the world-wide media capturing all the magic of the event.

Each nation’s media delegation takes this contest just as seriously as the performers.   After each performance a local delegation suddenly erupts in cheers and furious flag waving adding to the craziness of the already slightly mad atmosphere.

The Press Centre is a blur of cameramen, photographers and journalists racing from interview to interview and trying to capture every angle of the world’s largest singing event. It may be a madhouse but it’s a fun one.
